NBA 2k18 has been dead since Nov/Dec, as a long time fan of the game, to say that it was a
huge let down is an understatement. 2k had an opportunity to build from 2k17
and make a better game, yet in so many ways NBA 2k18 is WORSE than 2k17 (and 2k17 was not that great to be honest). 2K18
may be a “success” if you look at how much money it raked in, but if you look
to the community you will see it was a failure. We still have a ways to go
before NBA 2k19 drops, it’s not too late for 2K to redeem themselves. The 2k league
may be a huge focus this year, but they can’t forget about the rest of the community. Well, we the community can't allow them to forget about us!
So lets get
into it, FEATURES THAT MUST BE IN NBA 2k19.
NEW SHOT METER (PREFERABLY 2k16 shotmeter minus the red light)
with this meter there is no bounce back aka late releases because the meter was
built TERRIBLY.
BETTER BLOW BY ANIMATION AGAINST CPU (there are times when cpu is stuck to the user like glue #howsway)
FIX CLIPPING & FAKE BUMP
STEALS! (THIS IS UNEXCEPTABLE)
LAYUP METER (WHY REMOVE THE LAYUP METER YET KEEP TIMING? #REALLY
#NBA2k18FAIL)
A FULLY FUNCTIONAL CREATE A PLAYER FEATURE (with in depth sculpting!)
FIX DRIBBLING ( NBA 2k19 dribbling should be a mixture of NBA 2k15-2k17)
GET RID OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD
NO LOCKED ITEMS BY REP (EARINGS, GLASSES,HATS, SHOES
Mycareer (load into mycourt)
It’s time to give the user back the power. I mentioned this
in my ultimate NBA 2k19 wishlist. It’s time for Mycareer to split away from
Park/Pro AM. Mycareer should be its own entity (with summer circuit, college
& high school option.) Player starts at a 70 overall. (55 overall is TOO LOW & NOT FUN)
Instead of earning VC in mycareer it should be
SP/RP. SP (SKILL POINTS) for upgrades (cheap upgrades, it should be easy to max
a player to 99) & RP (REP POINTS) per
game to buy tattoos, clothes, shoes and accessories from the OFFLINE STORE. YES OFFLINE. NBA 2k19
mycareer should NOT have to be saved on the 2K server. With this method, the
user does not need to be connected to the internet.
The the user gets to change sneakers, animations such as
dunk packages, dribble moves etc. all while enjoying a full mycareer experience, with a story (skipable cut scenes and customizable “mycourt”. The user should be able to change the rules
(LIKE NBA LIVE 18) for example, shorter season, play on any difficulty, fatigue
off, fouls on or off etc. The user can make any playstyle without CAP
restrictions (you can upgrade everything to 99, defense, shooting, dribbling,
dunking etc.) and earn ALL HOF BADGES. There is no height or weight restrictions,
and any position can call plays from the start. The user has full control and this will not
affect other users (DEMIGODS AT THE PARK ETC.) because this mode is NOT connected to the servers.
A FULL STORE with clothes, hairstyles, sneakers, accessories
etc. it's only fair that offline players have access to the same store items online players have, and able to go shirtless for cutscenes.
PARK
NBA 2k18 introduced earning badges and upgrades at park/pro
am. NBA 2k19 should do the same. With this method people no longer feel forced
to grind career, because they earn everything at park/pro am and mycareer players are not forced to be stuck in restricted playstyles (2k's way of combating "cheese").
Users can still buy
VC to upgrade to an 85 (IF THEY CHOOSE TO) they get to choose what they want to
upgrade (NOT LIKE NBA 2k18) and REP is NO LONGER connected to OVERALL. If you
make more than one player they will ALL BE THE SAME REP (LIKE NBA 2k17).
Whatever clothes, sneakers hairstyles etc. the user buys on one player it can be accessed by new players they create.
With this method EVERYONE WINS. People that don’t want to grind
VC can buy VC, 2K still makes A LOT OF MONEY, and people are NOT forced to play
modes they don’t ENJOY.
NEW PARKS (NOT ONE PLAYGROUND) people miss being able to
travel and enjoy different sceneries
BRING BACK AFFILIATIONS (BALLERS, ROUGH RIDERS, FLYERS OR NEW NAMES)
BRING BACK RIVAL DAY (This made competing fun)
BRING BACK MASCOTS
BRING BACK THE REC CENTER FROM 2k15
BETTER REP REWARDS (20K VC for each new milestone for example Pro
5 hits Allstar 1 and earns 15k VC plus whatever other rep rewards for that
level. Allstar 5 hits superstar 1 and earns 30k VC ETC.)
SHIRTLESS AT ANY REP (Shirtless should not be a reward).
PRO AM
REP REWARDS THAT CAN ONLY BE EARNED IN PRO AM ( extra vc for winning a certain amount of
walk on games, exclusive clothing, shoes etc.)
