I really feel like if 2K follows this blueprint, NBA 2k19 may
just be one of the best games they EVER MADE, well just as long as the gameplay
is up to par, and they fix A LOT OF ISSUES we’ve had over the years (like the
terrible clipping / bump steals for example.)
Road to 99 actually was a good idea, just poor execution in my opinion. Road
to 99 should have been an exclusive mycareer mode. Park and Pro am should not
only be separate from mycareer but have separate REP REWARDS.
I suggest that 2K allows us to have a mycareer player (offline)
and a Park/Pro am player that is connected to the 2K server.
The mycareer player can NEVER be used for park/pro am
Park should have exclusive
rep rewards and go back to the old rep system (every build you make keeps the
same rep).
Pro Am should have rep rewards that can only be earned in PRO AM.
2K should also implement an unranked and ranked
system for both Park and Pro Am. Ranked
should be more casual/simulation sliders, while unranked lobbies have more casual/arcade sliders. This method not
only fixes the skill gap issue that 2K keeps trying to CLOSE (more like force on everyone and ruin our
experience) it will also separate the elite players and allow for casual or new
players to enjoy the game without the pressure of a ranking system.
Ranked matches should have a leaderboard, while
unranked matches should not count towards the users leaderboard rank or record (Wins/Loss)
Ranked or unranked the user still earns rep
rewards, badges, and attribute upgrades at park and pro am.
ROAD TO 99 NBA 2k19 (MYCAREER ONLY)
We’ve already discussed mycareer being a separate entity and
should be an offline mode (not connected to the 2K servers). But for those who
have not read the previous posts or watched my past videos, lets recap.
Mycareer
(NO RESTRICTIONS) A Separate
player from Park/pro am
This player will not be able to be used at the park or pro
am. Whether you’re connected to the internet or playing without internet connection, it shouldn’t
affect the user having a FULL mycareer experience.
NBA 2k19 should have a fully
featured mycareer story offline (meaning not connected to the 2k SERVERS), equipped
with a customizable mycourt (that the user loads into), offline store (able to
change ALL animations, hairstyles, accessories, tattoos, clothes etc.)
NBA 2k18 proved this is totally possible, with 2k
implementing being able to earn badges and upgrades outside of mycareer, these
modes NO LONGER need to be connected.
Mycareer should earn SP (SKILL POINTS)
for attribute upgrades and REP POINTS to spend in the FULLY
featured offline store
.
PARK AND PRO AM should continue to earn or buy VC. The user would
still be able to buy their way to an 85 overall and earn their upgrades and
badges exclusively at park/pro am.
Mycareer players should have a fully featured mode with complete
control for example, editing rules like a shorter season, turning off fatigue, making
any player build without attribute caps,
(for example having 90 dribbling, 90 shooting, 90 defense, 90 dunking etc.) able to earn
ALL HOF badges, custom jumpshot etc.
CHEAP ATTRIBUTE UPGRADES.
The user starts off as a 70 overall with
okay attributes and as they progress through the mode they earn SP AND RP to
upgrade their player.
THE ROAD to 99 should not FEEL like it will take forever, it
should be fun, easy to upgrade your player, and packed with rep rewards like exclusive mycourts
locations, current and throwback jerseys, rare kicks, extra VC, etc.
